VAT Field Officers
The Value Added Tax (VAT) Implementation Project Office, in conjunction with the Inland Revenue Department, is presently conducting an island-wide field registration exercise. The public is notified that field officers will be undertaking a physical survey of business premises. The Officers will be involved in the verification and updating of information on business entities, and the registration of new enterprises currently in operation.
The information gathered will guide the VAT registration process which will be carried out, following the culmination of the public education campaign, presently being undertaken by the VAT Implementation Project Team.
Business entities are hereby informed that in order for any consultation to be conducted, the Field Officers must display the relevant identification cards.
The VAT Implementation Project Office thus solicits the co-operation of all businesses visited in the execution of this field exercise.
